Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

We are at an exciting and historic time in the life of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. This congregation has grown by God’s grace and throughout our 142-year history we have seen key turning points where faithfilled decisions set the course for the future.

I believe we are on the threshold of another such opportunity. Our Building Faith vision and campaign is a modernday call to further God’s work as we address the challenges of a growing membership, a growing ministry and a growing need for space in which to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is far more about “faith” than it is about any “building.” Even without a single brick laid, God will shape us individually and collectively as He works in our church family.

Through this mailing, we hope to answer the most common questions surrounding the campaign and the plans for campus development. On Sunday, February 21, you are invited to attend an informational meeting at noon in the school cafeteria where the revised building plans will be presented. You will receive more information as the campaign unfolds and culminates with commitment services on March 20 and 21.

This is a big step in the life of our congregation, and it is important to me and to all of our leaders that you feel informed and very much a part of where we are going as partners in Building Faith.
