Services. Our 5 p.m. Saturday service offers contemporary music and a relaxed, informal style. Sunday morning services are held at 8 and 10:30 a.m. and follow a more formal order of worship. Holy Communion is offered in the 8 a.m. service on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, and during the 10:30 service on the first, third, and fifth Sundays. Communion in the Saturday service always corresponds to the communion schedule in the 10:30 Sunday service. Our services generally last around an hour.
Parking. We have parking lots on the east and west sides of the church (off Jackson and Union Streets), as well as on-street parking. A number of spaces are designated for handicap parking, and a valet service is available at the West Jefferson Boulevard entrance.
Nursery. A beautiful, modern nursery is available for children from birth to 3 years old. The nursery is in the lower level hallway and can be accessed from the back of the sanctuary.
What to Wear. Our members and visitors wear a variety of clothing—from casual to “Sunday best.” Your presence is more important to us than the clothes you wear.
Children’s Message. In the service where communion is not offered, young children are invited to gather near the altar for a brief message that relates the day’s Bible readings to their lives and experiences.
Offering. As our guests, you need feel no obligation to put anything in the offering plate. It is passed for those who are regular attenders of our church.
Between Services on Sunday. From September through May, adult Bible studies and Sunday school classes for all ages are held from 9:15 until 10:15 a.m. Also, visitors and members are invited to get acquainted over refreshments in Ebenezer Hall between church services.
