December 24 – Christmas Eve  falls on a Sunday this year, and because of this we will have only one morning worship service that will begin at 10:00, along with the celebration of Holy Communion.  There will be no Sunday School or Bible Classes.  Christmas Eve services will be held at their regular times: 7:00 p.m. for our Family Service and 11:00 p.m. for our Candlelight Service.  New Year Eve’s also falls on a Sunday, but we will have our regular scheduled services  at 8:00 and 10:30 am. with the celebration of Holy Communion at the 8:00 service.  There will be no Sunday School, but there will be a Bible class to hear Deaconess Christel Neuendorf share her experiences serving the Lord in Latin America and the Caribbean.  Our New Year’s Eve service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with the celebration of Holy Communion.

Reformation And Luther Day – On Sunday, October 29, we will celebrate the Reformation’s 500th Anniversary and Martin Luther. Join us for a “Luther Lunch” after late service (good German food in lower Ebenezer Hall), followed by a viewing of Rick Steves's special, Luther and the Reformation, filmed in Germany and Rome. SIGN UP BY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, on the sheet in Ebenezer Hall. An $8 donation will be collected at the door.

Carpe Diem: Toga Party!!!  All Middle School youth (6th-8th graders) are invited to join us for a classic Roman Toga Party Sunday, September 24 during the Sunday School hour. Please come prepared to eat, drink, and be merry, and dressed in your best sheets and ancient accessories, as there will be prizes for the best togas. Join us at 9:15 in the conference room next to the Science/Art room.

Hope-Full Living and Portal of Prayers devotional booklets for the fall quarter are available in the Welcome Center and the tables in the back of the church.

Emmanuel Golf Outing – The 32nd Annual Emmanuel Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, September 30, at 9:00 a.m. The fees are $60 per golfer and include green fees, lunch and refreshments during the outing. If you are not a golfer, you can also sponsor the outing in one of the following ways: Hole Sponsor @ $150, Lunch Sponsor @ $75, or Snack Cart Sponsor @ $50.
