Cup of Kindness boxes can be found in the Welcome Center. The money contributed in the boxes is distributed by Lutheran Social Services to local families who have crisis needs.

Moveable FeastPlease join the fellowship on Sunday mornings between services in the gathering area of Ebenezer Hall.  You are always welcome to bring food items for the Moveable Feast through the week and refrigerate or freeze your item(s) in the kitchen on the main floor of Ebenezer Hall. Senior Lunch Bunch, Tuesday, April 18 – Join us and other members 50 and over for fellowship beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the lower level of Ebenezer Hall. Lunch begins at 12:00 p.m.. Our own member, Cathi Counterman, will share the “Rescue Mission Story” with us. This is a community resource that does amazing work in Fort Wayne while sharing Christ with those they serve. Please make reservations by Thursday, April 13, by calling the receptionist at 423-1369 or by signing up in the Welcome Center. Cost for lunch is $7.

Book Club – The Emmanuel Book Club will meet on Thursday, April 20, at 7 p.m. and is open to all members and friends. We read and discuss one book per month and will be discussing the book, “Assault and Pepper” by Leslie Budewitz for April. We will meet in Ebenezer Hall and welcome new members at any time. Play Date at Emmanuel! – Mom’s and their little ones are invited to Emmanuel on Friday, April 21 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. for a play date and fellowship. Weather permitting; we will meet on the playground behind the school. In the event of rain or cold, we will meet in the Loft. Please feel free to invite a friend! Come to a special evening at Emmanuel - enjoy an evening learning about and using the Visual Faith tools of Visual Prayer and Bible Journaling as taught by Connie Denninger, sister of Teresa Davis. Connie has been teaching hands-on, experiential faith keeping for 20 years. She is a Visual Faith coach and retreat leader. Connie is married to Rev. Dr. John Denninger, President of the LCMS Southeastern District. The event will be held at Emmanuel in Ebenezer Hall on April 21 from 7-9 p.m. There is no charge. Basic supplies will be provided through a Thrivent Builds grant. Bring your Bible. The event is open to all adults. Children over 10 are invited to attend if accompanied by a parent or grandparent. Summer Rummage Sale – Mark your calendars now for an Emmanuel Rummage Sale, sponsored by our Quilters/Crafters groups, that will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24.  Set-up for the rummage sale will begin on Monday, June 19, and continue through June 22. Due to the lack of storage space, we are asking you to please bring your donated items in only during the week of the sale.  Items brought in before June 19 will not be accepted. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help pay for the new pew cushions. 

Vacation Bible School – VBS 2017 will be held Monday, June 12 – Thursday, June 15 from 6-8:30 p.m. The theme will be “River of Life.” To register your child(ren) to attend, or to sign up to be a volunteer, please go to vbsmate.com/EmmanuelFWIN. Food Pantry – To meet the needs for those who visit our food bank in February we could use donations of cereal, canned fruit, peanut butter, mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, canned juice, deodorant, shampoo, dish and hand soap, toothpaste and paper products, especially toilet paper and paper towels. Food donations can be placed in the “Food Pantry” box located in the Welcome Center. Cash donations may be placed in your church envelope and marked “food pantry” on the “other” line. Members may stop by for food any day when the office is open, and the food pantry will be available for those living in the 46802 zip code area on Thursday, April 20, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the lower level of Ebenezer Hall. LWML Three Zone Rally – Ladies mark your calendars for April 22 for the Three Zone Rally to be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church and School. The speakers will be from Emmanuel, Redeemer and Zion. They will present information on their Helping Hands Initiative. Two years ago they received a $100,000 grant from LCMS to rehab homes near their churches. Cross Connections Grief Support Group – "Cross Connections' Grief Support Group will be starting back up Thursday, March 23 and going through May 4. This support group is for people going through any type grief such as loss of loved ones, divorce, job loss, relocation, etc. The group will meet each Thursday for 6 weeks at Cross Connections' main office at 4618 E. State Blvd, Suite 300, Ft. Wayne. The meetings run from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. If interested, please contact Cross Connections at 260-373-0213 to register for this group. You will be provided with materials and the cost when registering is $20 per person."

LGBTQ+ Support Group for Parents: Cross Connections recognizes the need for support for parents of adult children who have identified as LGBTQ. Parents need to know they are not alone. Sharing mutual stories and prayers helps to strengthen and provide hope. Cross Connections is offering a support group for Christian parents of adult children identifying as LGBTQ. Parents are invited to come together in a confidential and safe atmosphere for hope and encouragement. Each month, Cross Connections will provide resources for parents to develop relationships with their sons and daughters. The next meeting will take place Monday, April 10, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Cross Connections, 4618 East State Blvd., Suite 300 (East State Professional Park).
