“Celebrating the Pipes”To celebrate Emmanuel’s 150th Anniversary, including its musical heritage, a special program, entitled “Celebrating the Pipes” will be held on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. This program is open to the public, and will feature Luke Tegtmeier, Muller Pipe Organ Technician and Organist, who will give us the full background and demonstration of our instrument. There will be visuals, close-up views of the cabinet and pipes, and musical demonstrations. You can even play it yourself! No registration is required and the workshop will be followed by a reception in Ebenezer Hall.

Cup of Kindness boxes can be found in the Welcome Center. The money contributed in the boxes is distributed by Lutheran Social Services to local families who have crisis needs.

VBS – Can You HELP? – Many volunteers are needed to make this year’s VBS a great success. In Ebenezer there is a tag board for items needed for VBS and also a sign-up sheet. Simply take a tag or tags off the board, purchase the item(s) and then return it/them to the church office. Also, if you can help volunteer for this year’s VBS, please write your name and phone number and you will receive a call. Thank you for your support for this most worthwhile event that shares the Word of God to our children.

Lutherans for Life – As the Church of God it’s time we rightly extolled the vocation of motherhood, and it’s time we finally saw the resplendent majesty concealed therein. There is no greater vocation on earth for it is God’s chosen means to bring children into this world and, likewise through parents, to bring children into Christ’s kingdom of forgiveness through Holy Baptism.” Rev. Jonathan Conner, Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, Iowa – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • www.lutheransforlife.org
