REFORMATION AND LUTHER DAY - On Sunday, October 29, we will celebrate the Reformation’s 500th Anniversary and Martin Luther. Join us for a “Luther Lunch” after late service (good German food in lower Ebenezer Hall), followed by a viewing of Rick Steves's special, Luther and the Reformation, filmed in Germany and Rome. SIGN UP BY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22, on the sheet in Ebenezer Hall. An $8 donation will be collected at the door.

Children’s Books for Washington School – Chris Heidegger, a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, is launching a “Book Collection” campaign for Washington School’s library, sponsored by her Thrivent Action Team. She will be collecting gently used children’s books to supplement their library. You can drop your donations in a box located in the Welcome Center, or in Ebenezer Hall on worship weekends. The Moveable Feast – All are welcome between worship services on Sunday mornings to come to Ebenezer Hall for food and fellowship! This year, we will be taking a new approach to provide for Moveable Feast. Members who live in the same zip code may receive a phone call requesting your support to “adopt” the Feast. This will include opportunities for your "Zip Code Group" to help set up, serve and clean up at the Moveable Feast on your Adoption Sunday!

Cup of Kindness boxes can be found in the Welcome Center. The money contributed in the boxes is distributed by Lutheran Social Services to local families who have crisis needs.

Grief Support will meet on Wednesday, October 18 at Friends Too, located at 3720 West Jefferson Boulevard. For your reservation(s) please call Pat Yeiter at 436-9728.

Book Club – Emmanuel’s Book Club will meet Thursday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. in Ebenezer Hall.  This month’s book is "A Man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman.  Everyone is welcome.  If you have questions, please contact Beth Igney at 260-203-9959.

Senior Lunch Bunch – Tuesday, October 19 – Join us for Lunch Bunch with fellowship at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch at noon in the lower level of Ebenezer Hall. Our time together will center on Tammy Stauffer’s trip to South Korea. She traveled to visit with her son, Ben and his family. Ben serves as a Major in the U.S. Army and has been stationed in South Korea for a year. Tammy will share pictures, talk about the country and serve traditional Korean food for lunch. Please make your reservation by Friday, October 13 by calling 423-1369 or by signing up in the Welcome Center. Cost for lunch is $7.

Fall Fun at the Kuehnert Farm – Come and spend a fun evening at the Kuehnert Dairy Farm on Saturday, October 21!  Enjoy the corn maze (with a Star Wars theme!), tile swing, Ninja Warrior courses and more!  We will meet at Emmanuel at 4:45pm in the Union Street parking lot and return by 8:30 pm.  Be sure to bring a flashlight (for the maze) and any extra spending money for food, pumpkins or the gift shop.  Cost is just $7 and checks should be made payable to Emmanuel.  Registration forms are available at the church office or the school office, Union Street campus. Parent drivers/chaperones for this event are needed, and if you can help with that, or have questions please contact Karen Bieberich at 260-450-1038 or kbie173@comcast.net.  

Food Pantry –Food donations can be placed in the “Food Pantry” box located in the Welcome Center. Cash donations may be placed in your church envelope and marked “food pantry” on the “other” line. Members may stop by for food any day when the office is open, and the food pantry will be available for those living in the 46802 zip code area on Thursday, October 19, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the lower level of Ebenezer Hall.
