- Ephesians 2:8

Attention deer hunters! Emmanuel’s Food Pantry would greatly appreciate donations of deer meat.  We would be happy to pay for processing fees, if you are willing to donate the venison.  We did this several years ago and the Food Pantry clients loved it! Please contact Carolyn Beitz at 432-9189 if you are interested in helping.

Food Pantry – With the addition of our Christmas families, we are requesting additional donations of canned vegetables, soups, cake mixes, frosting, tooth brushes, cereal, canned fruit, peanut butter, mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, canned juice, deodorant, shampoo, dish and hand soap, toothpaste and paper products, especially toilet paper and paper towels.  Food donations can be placed in the “Food Pantry” box located in the Welcome Center.  Cash donations may be placed in your church envelope and marked “food pantry” on the “other” line.  Members may stop by for food any day when the office is open, and the food pantry will be available for those living in the 46802 zip code area on Thursday, December 21, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the lower level of Ebenezer Hall.  If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact Carolyn Beitz at 432-9189.

Cross Connections Event - Join the Biblical ministry of Cross Connections again this year at The Acme Bar and Grill on Saturday, December 9 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. during the Army-Navy football game! You will be able to enjoy an all-you-can-eat pizza and wings buffet from our friends at The Acme for just $15 per person. Proceeds from this event provide FREE Biblical counseling at Cross Connections for all active duty military, police, fire and EMT personnel (including their immediate family members) who are sent to Cross Connections from our 85 ministry partners. It’s a great way to break away from Christmas shopping and support a very worthy cause supporting the brave men and women who defend our freedoms and provide for our safety. Please contact Jen at 260-373-0213 if you have questions. See you all there!!

Eyeglass and Hearing Aid Donations – The Lion’s Club has long been recognized for their efforts in assisting the sight impaired by collecting used eyeglasses.  Not as well-known is their collection of hearing aids and batteries.  Our member, Dick Alfeld has placed a collection box in the welcome center to gather those eyeglasses and hearing aids and batteries that you no longer use.  He will then get the donations to those who distribute them to the needy.  Thank you for your help.

Lutherans for Life – “All that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—is  the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.” C.S.
