"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God..."

- Ephesians 2:8

Pictorial Directory – Another Day Has Been Added! – Emmanuel’s photography dates June 26 – 30 have all been filled, but because we still have members who would like to schedule their appointment, another day has been added, Monday, June 25. ESM Endowment – We celebrate the outstanding support for Lutheran education we experience at Emmanuel – St. Michael.  Our congregations, parents, and friends understand the importance of Lutheran education for the future of our church.  ESM is funded through congregational support, tuition, and special gifts to our ministry.  Most recently, ESM has been able to grow endowed funds that can provide on-going contributions to the cost of education, through carefully invested gifts.  What’s more, ESM is eligible to double contributions to the endowment through a dollar for dollar matching gift program.  If you have considered making a legacy gift to support our school or would like to learn more about the gift matching program for the ESM endowment, please contact Jacob Pennekamp at 422.6712 or jpennekamp@esmEagles.com.

Lutherans for Life – “Would you be willing to take a little bit of time on Memorial Day to do two things? One is to thank God for the successful outcomes of the sacrifices that these graves represent. Our country is a free and blessed place, and our freedom was bought at a terrible price. Second, will you rededicate yourself to sharing the good news of Jesus so that as many people as possible will be rejoicing on resurrection day? As you think about cemeteries, realize that God has the last word: ‘Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt’ (Daniel 12:2 NIV). All Christian warriors will awake soon to new life.” Pastor Mark Jeske, Time of Grace – Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • www.lutheransforlife.org
