From September through May, Emmanuel’s Sunday School provides age-appropriate Bible study and related activities for children from birth through fifth grade. Our program aims to help parents teach their children to know and love Jesus Christ, and to excite and prepare them to share Christ’s love in their daily lives.
We use August 1 as the cut-off date for age/grade/class determination. Our goal is to ensure that students are in the same grade for Sunday School as they are in school. Register your child for Sunday School.
Emmanuel’s Sunday School curriculum will be Enduring Faith, from Concordia Publishing House.
DROP-OFF (9:15 a.m.) • OPENING • PICKUP (10:15 a.m.)
“Me Too” students and families meet in their classroom for opening activities and lessons.
Preschool students should be dropped off and picked up at their classrooms.
As these youngsters grow more comfortable throughout the year, they might also join in the sanctuary opening.
Kindergarten through fifth-grade students and teachers have their opening in the sanctuary. They can be picked up in their respective classrooms at 10:15.
During the opening (9:15-9:25 a.m.), students sing and learn about the church. Each week there will a focus topic, like the Baptismal font, which allows students to discover more about what they see in worship every week. Parents are encouraged to attend, too.
