Parking

We have parking lots on the east and west sides of the church (off Jackson and Union Streets), as well as on-street parking. A number of spaces are designated for handicap parking.

Accessibility

Emmanuel offers handicap parking on Jackson Street and in the parking lot east of the church. Wheelchairs and elevator access to the sanctuary are available at the covered-drive entrance on West Jefferson Boulevard and there is a ramp at the west entrance to the church. A hearing loop and large-print service folders are available for those who are hearing- or vision-impaired.

Nursery

A beautiful, modern nursery is available for children from birth to three years old. The nursery is in the lower level hallway and can be accessed from the back of the sanctuary.

What to Wear

Our members and visitors wear a variety of clothing—from casual to “Sunday best.” Your presence is more important to us than the clothes you wear.

Children’s Message

In the service where communion is not offered, young children are invited to gather near the altar for a brief message that relates the day’s Bible readings to their lives and experiences.

Offering

As our guests, you need feel no obligation to put anything in the offering plate. It is passed for those who are regular attenders of our church.

Between Sunday Services

From September through May, adult Bible studies and Sunday school classes for all ages are held from 9:15–10:15 a.m.

Home Worship

As we return to in-person worship at Emmanuel, we will respect the Governor's recommendation that individuals who are 65 and above, or who have an underlying health condition, use caution. With this guidance in mind, our weekly worship services and some Bible studies will still be offered online.
